You must be at least 18 years of age.
There’s no upper age limit.

You must be free of any medical or physical conditions which would interfere with performance. A physical exam will conducted later in the recruit period.

You must possess a high school diploma or GED.

You must possess a valid driver’s license.

You must pass a background check conducted
by the department.

You must be willing to contribute your time. The initial recruit training generally lasts 1 year. After that, we encourage you to serve at least 40 hours of standby time and 1 training each month.

As long as your willing to spend time in Ashland City, there is no requirement to live a specific distance from the stations.

You must have a desire to make a difference and serve the community!
